What's Going On Here?
TopatoGo is a crowdfunding and fulfillment service from TopatoCO! We'll take your pre-orders, get them made, keep you updated, ship them out and let folks buy them after the campaign. And we'll do it all under one roof!
Why not Kickstarter?
Kickstarter is great for many projects but we've been doing this a while and know the ropes very well. You can see all the projects we've done previously as Make That Thing! TopatoGO will help streamline our process by having all the order info in one place instead of having to go back and forth between different platforms to stitch everything together and... surveys? Never quite figured that one out. We'll have everything we need right on our own very secure computers!
When does my card get charged?
If you pay with a regular old credit card (Visa/Mastercard), and the project succeeds, your card will be charged when the project reaches its funding deadline. If the project ends but it hasn’t reached its funding goal, the authorization will expire and your card will not be charged. Paypal, Amazon Pay, Discover, and American Express payments have different authorization limits and will usually complete before the campaign ends. If you pay with one of these methods and the campaign isn't successful, your payment will be refunded at the end of the campaign.
Some credit card customers may see a temporary authorization of funds at the time of pledging, before a project has successfully funded. Authorizations generally go away after a few days, but this process can vary depending on your financial institution. If you notice an authorization that doesn’t go away, you should contact your bank or card issuer for more details about their authorization procedure.
When and How Will it Ship?
When a project is completed, things start moving. Things will ship around the estimated date. There are obviously things out of our control (like ships getting suck in canals, global pandemics, that sort of thing) which may cause delays.
Also, we collect your shipping address at the time you place the order and will check back with you a couple weeks before shipping begins to make sure your address is the same. No more messing with those surveys.
We ship domestically using UPS or USPS, whichever gets it there quickest with the best value. International orders ship using DHL eCommerce.
